Press Release

easyJet Implements MissionMode

St. Paul, MN November 15, 2005-easyJet, one of the world’s leading low cost airlines, based in the UK, has implemented MissionMode Solutions for rapid communications and incident management.  Using MissionMode, operations staff and senior management are kept informed of the operational heartbeat of easyJet though timely and assured communications between its Flight Network Operations Center and other operational divisions.  Any escalation requiring immediate response is quickly initiated using MissionMode’s multi-channel collaboration (land-line and mobile phones, SMS, web, pager, fax, etc).  Senior management and response personnel can then access relevant information such as business continuity plans, monitor progress and collaborate in real time with colleagues.

Mike Szucs, Director of Operations, said: “easyJet is known for quickly responding to customer and market requirements with decisive action.  Effective use of technology is an important ingredient.  By using MissionMode for all our important communications we identify operational issues earlier, reduce their impact and keep the initiative.   In this way we provide a better service to customers, protect and grow our reputation which in turn leads to increased revenue and profits.”  He added:  “Communications are fundamental to how we respond to important operational events.  MissionMode gives us the ability to immediately get the right people involved no matter where they are.”  easyJet has over 700 flights daily managed from their Flight Network Operations Center.  Any personnel can be immediately notified by MissionMode which is then used as a virtual command and control centre to speedily and effectively resolve any issue.

“With such rapid and effective communications MissionMode is very useful in the case that we have an incident.” stated Peter Griffiths, Director of Safety and Security.  “We continue this philosophy by testing and improving our process management and communication systems.  MissionMode allows us to make faster, more educated decisions while reducing response times.

This is a continuation of MissionMode’s service of the airline and travel industry around the World.  We are proud to be part of improving safety and operational effectiveness,” stated Malcolm Hafner, CEO EMEA, MissionMode Solutions.   MissionMode’s hosted application is being used worldwide by customers to improve operational readiness and effectiveness through rapid communications and collaboration.
